Meet Katie
Katie Morrison is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Laura Wright, MS, LPC-S, RYT. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Hardin-Simmons University, completing her Master of Arts in 2012. Katie has completed Level 2 training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an attachment-based, experiential approach to emotional healing.
She offers counseling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, burnout, parenting challenges, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She particularly enjoys working with parents, caregivers, helping professionals, and high-achieving individuals who spend much of their lives caring for others while struggling to make space for themselves.
Katie's therapeutic approach is gentle, relational, and grounded in the understanding that healing happens through meaningful connection and emotional experience. Her work incorporates AEDP, Attachment-Based Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion-Focused Therapy.
Through emotional processing, somatic awareness, and exploration of attachment patterns, Katie helps clients better understand their experiences, move through difficult emotions, and develop a deeper sense of self-trust and acceptance. She values the therapeutic relationship as a space where clients can feel supported in exploring difficult experiences, reconnecting with themselves, and discovering new possibilities for growth.
Katie is currently scheduling new clients for individual and couples therapy in office at UnEarthed in Keller, Texas, and virtually. She offers flexible options, accepting private pay, Aetna, and Cigna insurance, with rates of $120/hour for private pay. If you’re curious or interested in working with her, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
